Betzy Crypt 

aka Beatriz Damil

 

  My name is Beatriz Damil; I go by the pen name Betzy Crypt. I reside in the hellhole that is Las Vegas, Nevada. I also received my Bachelor of Arts in English with a Creative Writing Concentration at the University of Las Vegas, Nevada, and an Associate of Arts degree with Creative Writing emphasis at the College of Southern Nevada. I hope to move to California for my Master's in time.  I’ve won the honor of being published with other student winners  in The  America Library of Poetry collection book TALENTED back in 2012 for my  “Piece of Heaven.” I have been working on my craft since then, both writing and illustrative. 

I have earned a certificate in a novel writing course at Winghill-Quality Course Career School, and I graduated from Valley High School with a scholarship and a Student of the Month award for my writing. I am an aspiring young adult author for paranormal, apocalyptic and horror.  I have an unpublished Young Adult trilogy written in high school and have been writing since the tender age of ten. Besides my writing, I have a passion for artistry. Check out my gallery for my doodles. Most of my art is done in under ten minutes, gallery found on Instagram under @BetzyCrypt.  If I am not sketching or reading, I'm story mapping my series, exercising my love of archery, blasting The Beatles, or odds are I'm probably getting sidetracked petting one of my fourteen cats or watching too much anime.  My top favorites are Inuyasha, Mob Psycho 100, Code Geass, My Hero Academia.) Most recently, I started a YouTube channel devoted to my personal Audio recitations of Alvin Schwartz's Scary Stories to Tell in The Dark.

At this time, I am completing an eight-book saga, Holy Corpus series, based on a dead super heroine,  a demon trying to rectify her soul and banish the world of the seven deadly sins. I have plans for two spin-offs in addition to this series. In my possession, I have an idea book of over fifty novel ideas I hope to blossom to print one day.

  Writing has been my escape from a traumatic childhood. Inner strength has kept me standing. Through my faith in God, I found my escape from the maelstrom. I have a fascination with the supernatural, and time and time again I am a witness to the paranormal. My goal is to open the eyes of mankind. We are united, by blood, flesh, and heartbeat. Love is real, and it can be grasped. I wish to give hope to the forsaken. I want to give redemption to those who are broken down. All in all, to survive on this earth, we must pass on a smile. And if I must do it one person at a time, so shall it be.
